Für heute
war ein eher windstiller Tag prognostiziert worden und ich ergriff die Gelegenheit,
mein Glück mit Google und meiner Intuition zu testen um so einen neuen
Ausflugsveranstalter auszuprobieren... der Name Sun & Fun schien mir genau
das zu versprechen worauf ich Lust hatte!?
For today a rather calm day was forecast and I took the opportunity to test my luck with Google and my intuition to try out a new excursion operator... the name Sun & Fun seemed to promise exactly what I was looking for!?

Um 8 Uhr
wurde ich von Kerstin und dem Fahrer Mustafa abgeholt. Während unserer
halbstündigen Fahrt nach Mahmya, etwas südlich von Hurghada, merkten wir
sofort, dass wir auf demselben Energielevel schweben und unendlichen
Gesprächsstoff haben... Im Mahmya Beach erwartete uns Ebraam, der Sun & Fun Reisen (https://sunandfunreisen.com) im 2017
gründete und heute Geburtstag hatte! : ) Ebraam spricht perfekt Deutsch, obwohl
er nie in Europa war. Er hat am Goethe Institut in Kairo Deutsch studiert und
ist seit 25 Jahren im Tourismus tätig, hauptsächlich mit Deutschsprachigen.
Durch diese Erfahrungen reifte im Laufe der Jahre die Idee den Schritt in die
Selbständigkeit zu wagen... und so seine Heimat Ägypten den Gästen auf
interessante Art näher zu bringen. Ebraam weiss sehr viel über die Geschichte
und Kultur Ägyptens und man merkt, dass es ihm wichtig ist andere damit zu
begeistern. Seine Liebe zu Ägypten und dessen Vielfältigkeit zeigt sich vor
allem in der Schönheit der Natur - ob zu Wasser oder zu Land. Und was super
angenehm war: Der Ausflug in kleiner Gruppe (er gestaltet auch individuelle private
Touren) ist überschaubar und wir konnten es in vollen Zügen geniessen! : ))
Wie bereits
erwähnt, war ich schon etwa 15-mal in Ägypten und sehr oft im Hotel Safir,
Nachbar von Mahmya Beach - nur Letzteres gab es damals noch nicht und das Safir
ist seit einigen Jahren geschlossen. Auch auf Giftun, der vorgelagerten Insel,
war ich schon etliche Male, aber immer an der Paradise Beach... heute ging es
etwas südlicher zur Mahmya Beach...
At 8 am I was picked up by Kerstin and the driver Mustafa. During our half-hour drive to Mahmya, a bit south of Hurghada, we immediately realized that we were on the same energy level and had never-ending topics to talk about... At Mahmya Beach Ebraam was awaiting us, he founded Sun & Fun Reisen (https://sunandfunreisen.com) in 2017 and today was his birthday! : ) Ebraam speaks perfectly German although he has never been to Europe. He studied German at the Goethe Institute in Cairo and has been working in tourism for 25 years, mainly with German speaking visitors. Through this experience over the years the idea of taking the step into self-employment matured... and bringing his homeland Egypt closer to guests in an interesting way. Ebraam knows a lot about history and culture of Egypt and you can tell that it is important to him to inspire others. His love for Egypt and its diversity is particularly evident in the beauty of nature - whether on water or on land. And what was super pleasant: The excursion in a small group (he also organizes individual private tours) is easy and we were able to enjoy it to the fullest! : ))
As already mentioned, I've been to Egypt about 15 times and I stayed many times at the Safir Hotel, just next to Mahmya Beach - only the latter didn't exist at that time and the Safir has been closed for a few years now. I've also been several times to Giftun, the offshore island, but always at Paradise Beach... today we went a little further south to Mahmya Beach...

Mit der
süssen Familie Sibel, Denis, Elyas und Aleyna war unsere kleine aber feine
Gruppe Sun & Fun komplett und um 9 Uhr ging es ab zur Giftun Insel, wo wir
30 Minuten später in der Orange Bay ankamen. Wow: Hier erwartete uns ein
weisser Sandstrand und transparentes Wasser, das von weitem in allen
Türkisfarben leuchtete! : )
With the sweet family Sibel, Denis, Elyas and Aleyna our small but excellent Sun & Fun group was complete and at 9 am we left for Giftun Island, where we arrived 30 minutes later in Orange Bay. Wow: A white sandy beach and transparent water awaited us, which shone in all turquoise colours from afar! : )

Wir
genossen einen tollen Tag an diesem friedvollen Ort mit Baden, guten
Gesprächen, einem leckeren Mittagessen (mit richtigem Geschirr und Besteck - kein
Wegwerfplastik!) und viel Sun & Fun. Um 15 Uhr - viel zu früh weil es so
herrlich war - ging es zurück aufs Festland und dann mit Fahrer Mustafa weiter
zum Turtles Beach Resort in El Fayrouz.
We enjoyed a great day in this peaceful place with bathing, good conversations, a delicious lunch (with real crockery and cutlery - no throwaway plastic!) and lots of Sun & Fun. At 3 pm - much too early because it was so wonderful - we went back to the mainland and from there driver Mustafa took me further to Turtles Beach Resort in El Fayrouz.

Den
genialen Tag mit hohen Schwingungen beendete ich bei Natalia und ihrer Mutter
bei einer spontanen Einladung: Koptische Weihnachten feiert man mit Pfannkuchen
und hier mit Mammas selbstgemachten Marmeladen - mmmhhhhh! : )

I ended the brilliant day with high vibrations on a spontaneous
invitation by Natalia and her mother: Coptic Christmas is celebrated with
pancakes and here with mom's homemade jams - mmmhhhhh! : )
