Nun bin ich bald 2 Monate hier und weiss endlich, was ich will: einen Lagerraum für meine Möbel und dann mit meinem Auto los... Zu Beginn gefiel mir die Idee hier im Turtles Beach Resort (https://turtlesbeach.com) Hurghada in El Fayrouz eine Wohnung zu mieten... alles kostet in Ägypten etwa einen Viertel wie in der Schweiz. So würde ich mein Leben ohne grosse finanzielle Sorgen leben können. Doch nach meiner Reise an den Nil und den Erfahrungen mit Ägypten als Kontroll- und Polizeistaat, liess ich langsam aber sicher von diesem Vorhaben ab... Auch in den Hotels und sogar wenn man ein Apartment mietet sind Besuche verboten! : (
I am here now for 2 months and finally know what I want: a storage room for my furniture and then off with my car... At first I liked the idea ofrenting an apartment here at Turtles Beach Resort Hurghada (https://turtlesbeach.com) in El Fayrouz... everything in Egypt costs about a quarter of what in Switzerland. So I would be able to live my life without major financial worries. But after my trip to the Nile and the experiences with Egypt as a control and police state, I slowly but surely gave up on this plan... Visits are also forbidden in hotels and even if you rent an apartment! : (

Eines Abends war ich bei Waleed und seinem Bruder Osama zu Besuch und wir wollten einen Fruchtsalat zubereiten.... wir hatten alles eingekauft und kamen im Casablanca an, als uns die Security aufhielt: Ich durfte nicht rein! Waleed ignorierte den Mann und führte uns in sein Apartment, dann ging er zurück und argumentiert sicher eine Stunde mit den Angestellten, bis ich genug hatte und mich verabschiedete...
One evening I was to make a fruit salad with Waleed and his brother Osama... we had gone shopping for it and arrived at the Casablanca when security stopped us: I wasn't allowed to enter! Waleed ignored the man and took us to his apartment then he went back and argued with the staff for at least an hour until I had enough and left...

Wir hatten aber trotzdem unseren Spass, trafen uns überall und tanzten nicht nur in einer Disco - in allen Restaurants und sogar beim Friseur! : ))
